The Raiders have granted the 22-year-old a release from his contract so he can ‘take up an immediate opportunity with an English club in Super League’.
That club is believed to be Hull KR, with Hull Live reporting earlier in the week that Schneider is set to link up with Willie Peters’ side on a deal for the rest of the season.
Germany international Schneider has made 12 appearances for the Raiders since making his NRL debut in 2021.
Canberra coach Ricky Stuart said the release would give Schneider the best possible opportunity to kick on in the next chapter of his career.Stuart said: “Brad is a terrific young man who needs the opportunity to play rugby league at a higher level and we’ve given him that by allowing him an early release from his contract.
“Brad has been a valuable squad member for us and the club wishes him all the best as he pursues the next stage in his career.”
