Cheltenham Town have released Derby County legend and former captain Curtis Davies following the club’s relegation to League Two.
The former Rams skipper was one of nine players to be released after their fate was confirmed on the final day of the season despite showing impressive form under boss Darrell Clarke.
Clarke almost guided Cheltenham to one of the greatest escapes of all-time given the Robins had not won in their opening 12 league games, losing 10 and drawing twice.
