It may have been the final seconds of the extra-time period but injury time went for another three minutes, but Sydney couldn’t find an equaliser.

The cross came in to FC keeper Jada Whyman who could do little more than knock the ball into the back of the net as it curled into a group of players.It sparked pandemonium as the Victory went nuts.Sydney were the benchmark all season, winning the Premier’s Plate but couldn’t brush off the Victory in the final.It’s the second straight loss in the grand final for the Sky Blues.It also ends a seven year title drought for the Victory and the second in the club’s history.
