Eleven Hanoi international schools published their tuition fees for the new school year starting next September, ranging from VND100 million to VND916 million (US$4,000-36,600), with most having increased since last year.
There are 40 foreign-invested schools in Hanoi, mainly kindergartens – with more than 10 having higher levels. These schools teach “international” programs in English, and are usually called “international schools.”
According to published data about their tuition plans for the 2024-2025 school year, the United Nations International School (UNIS) will charge the highest tuition fees in Hanoi, at VND890-916 million for middle school levels, and around VND312-765 million per year for other levels. This constituted an average rise of VND18-80 million compared to previous school year.
The next most costly tuition fees were charged by the British International School – BIS Hanoi, where around VND900 million gets students in secondary levels. At the kindergarten and primary levels, the school collects VND134-679 million a year. Although the absolute number is not equal to UNIS, BIS’s tuition rise was higher, by approximately VND90 million for the secondary level.
The only school that will not increase tuition is International School ParkCity Hanoi – ISPH. The tuition stands at VND360 million for kindergarten levels, VND438-551 million for primary level and VND551-545 for secondary level.
Singapore International school, Japan International school and French International school – LFAY registered the capital city’s lowest tuitions, starting at around VND100-150 million for the kindergarten level. At the primary and secondary level, International French school – LFAY charged the least at under VND200 million a year.
