Arsenal lack options at centre-back and don’t want to be short of numbers if either William Saliba or Gabriel Magalhaes are out for any significant period of time. Dragusin plays for Genoa in Serie A after starting his career at Juventus.
Zubimendi continues to be a rumoured target of the Gunners. Arsenal were first interested in the Spaniard last January but he wanted to stay at Real Sociedad until the summer.
Declan Rice was Arsenal’s main midfield target in the close season but interest in Zubimendi could return in 2024. He has a release clause in his contract of just under £53million.
